VIDEO: Emirati youth have a narrow escape as their cars get swept away in floodwaters

Four Emiratis escaped from the windows of their SUVs in Khor Fakkan after their cars were swept away in flooded wadi waters on Monday.
A video has been doing the rounds on social media, documenting the moment the four cars started drifting away in Wadi Shis, near Khor Fakkan.
On Monday afternoon, heavy rain was experienced in several areas of the UAE.
In Sharjah, light to moderate rain over Khor Fakkan road and Shis was witnessed.
There was light rain too over Masafi and Wadi Al Ejili in Ras al Khaimah.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said, “Chance of fog formation and deteriorating horizontal visibility to lower levels and lacking at times over some internal and coastal areas, from 01:00 till 09:30 AM Tuesday 29 / 09 / 2020.”
The NCM said there was a “chance of convective cloud formation associated with rain and fresh winds, reaching 40 km/h, blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility at times over some eastern areas.”
The lowest temperature recorded over the country on Monday was 19.2 °C in Raknah at 05:45am.
While the highest temperature recorded over the UAE was 43.8 °C in Mezaira at 1:15pm.
