Abu Dhabi has issued fresh guidelines and procedures for international travellers entering the emirate.
The Abu Dhabi Government Media Office said on Twitter, “The Abu Dhabi Crisis, Emergency and Disasters Committee requires international travellers to Abu Dhabi to disclose date of entry into the country at check points designated for international travellers at all ports, and to adhere to approved quarantine guidelines.”
Violating these procedures will result in penalties and fines as outlined by the UAE Attorney General.
Last month, the Abu Dhabi Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Committee in cooperation with Department of Health, approved two tests to enter the emirate effective from Aug.27, 2020, enhancing precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The Abu Dhabi Government Media Office said, “Entry will be allowed within 48 hours of receiving a negative PCR test result, or with a negative DPI laser test result accompanied by a negative PCR test result received within 6 days.

“The Committee states that the same type of test cannot be taken twice in a row within 6 days.”
However, following an extensive period of sterilization, the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) opened some public parks and beaches across the Emirate.
The reopening of these public facilities is the first stage in the reopening of all DMT’s amenities and other reopenings will be announced at a later stage via all media outlets, including social media.
