The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has set the fee of the seasonal influenza vaccine in its private health facilities at a maximum of Dhs100 inclusive of the related services. The DHA requested all licensed facilities to abide by the specified fee to avoid fines.
In a circular issued on Tuesday and forwarded to all licensed private health facilities, the DHA explained that the vaccine fee decision was taken in the current exceptional circumstances related to the COVID-19 outbreak to take the preventive measures as necessary to curb the spread of the pandemic and ensure the health and safety of all.
According to the DHA, private health facilities are required to abstain from imposing any other additional fees including administrative fees, urgent service fees, on-site or home service fees or any other related facilities, particularly the patients who visit the facilities directly to take vaccines without suffering from any symptoms or request any other service or medical advice.
The new decision comes further to the DHA’s previous circulars issued in this connection and in accordance with the Executive Council’s Resolution No. 32 for 2012 regulating the practice of health professions in the Dubai.
Stressing the necessity for the new resolution to take effect from today, the DHA directed all concerned health facilities to abide by the instructions contained in the resolution in order to avoid any fines or legal consequences.
