The police have asked parents to pay attention to their children when they approach windows and balconies.

The real estate institutions overseeing residential buildings found that window barriers in some buildings were not sufficient to protect children from falling off.

The police also warned the risk of leaving furniture near the windows.

Children could use furniture to climb up to the windows.

The police explained that with the change in weather, residents are tempted to open the windows to allow cool and fresh air into the room. Toddlers might get curious to find out what is on the other side of the windows and balconies.

This curiosity could lead them to great danger.

The police emphasised the need to put up barriers in such places.

The police have urged parents to close all windows when they are not around in the house.

The authorities have called for the need to install metal bars on windows.

The bars must be installed in such a way that in case of a fire, it can be removed to escape from the room.
