The Ministry of Community Development (MoCD) has organised a virtual mass wedding for 100 grooms from the seven emirates, on Friday.
Held in five different locations, the mass wedding is the largest community ceremony in the UAE this year with 100 grooms entering a new life to make a cohesive and stable family.
The Ministry noted that the initiative was in line with the government’s coronavirus preventive measures to ensure safety of all.
On the other hand, the ministry in collaboration with the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalid Al Nahyan Foundations will organise a series of awareness and development workshops titled “For an Emirati happy family.”
The initiative is aimed at raising awareness among parents and children on the importance of family stability and cohesion, discovering skills and developing abilities among family members, embodying dialogue among generations to exchange knowledge, experience and expertise.
Dr Sheikha Shamma Bint Mohammed Bin Khalid Al Nahyan will present a workshop on Nov.16 about respecting others, which targets children and explains the value of respect for others.
Professor Mona Obaid Al Dhaheri presented a workshop on Thursday on the invention of cartoon characters. Dr. Suaad Mohammed Marzouki will present a workshop on Nov.3 on primary psychological first aid.
