A massive fire broke out inside the new building of the Istanbul University Medical College Hospital in Istanbul on Sunday afternoon.
Battery of fire tenders rushed to the site of the incident.
Police have cordoned of the area and evacuated the nearby buildings.
Local media reported that an ignition led to fire in the insulation material on the roof of the building under construction in the campus of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine…”
Firefighters are using the state-of-the-art equipment to douse the flames.
A video circulating on social media showed thick black smoke billowing from the roof of the building.
