The Sharjah Police General Command revealed that they have installed 5 new radars on the Sharjah-Khor Fakkan road. The radars are on both directions from Shees to the city of Khor Fakkan.
The new radars are concentrated in hotspots, which require setting the speed limit on the streets.
The step aims to reduce traffic accidents by designating a speed limit on the emirate's roads.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander in Chief of Sharjah Police, affirmed that the installation of new radars came in line with the vision of the Ministry of Interior, and to achieve its strategic objective aiming at enhancing security and safety, and making roads safer.
On the other hand, Tasjeel, in collaboration with Sharjah Police, pilots its drive through service at Tasjeel Auto Village centre in Sharjah.
The drive through service is in adherence to UAE health authorities and precautionary measures for the safety of the Sharjah community. The drive through service includes testing of number plates, lights, tyres, paint condition, under-the-hood condition and mileage of the vehicle.
Previously, basic testing and registration services required a physical inspection, thus consuming more time.
With the help of advanced visual inspection, customers can complete their vehicle inspections from the comfort of their vehicles within two minutes. A testing report is then ready for customers at the checkout point.
