Burj Khalifa, the global icon by Emaar, marked the UAE Flag Day on Tuesday evening with a fabulous show.
The Dubai Media Office said on Twitter, “Dubai’s Burj Khalifa lights up in the colours of the UAE flag in celebration of Flag Day.
The Burj Khalifa’s official Twitter account said, “#BurjKhalifa illuminates in the colours of unity, strength and greatness. ?? #UAEFlagDay...”
The UAE Flag Day is observed on Nov.3 every year.
The flag was adopted in the year 1971. The Rulers of the seven emirates decided on the unification of the country in a historic meeting and raised the UAE flag.
Emirati national Abdullah Mohammed Al Maeena designed the flag of the UAE.
Some 1,030 designs were entered in the competition, with six being shortlisted before the final flag was chosen.
This year, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, attended the Flag Day event at Mohammed Bin Rashid University in Dubai and dedicated the celebrations to the heroes at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19.
On Nov. 3, every house, establishment, and offices in the country raise the UAE flag in honour of the unification.
