RAK Police rescue exhausted Emirati family from rugged mountain terrain

Once again Ras Al Khaimah Police have turned out to be saviours in disguise for those visiting the mountains of the emirate. Only this time the visitors turned out to be Emiratis.

The search and rescue team of the Air Wing Department at the Ras Al Khaimah Police rescued a 5-member Emirati family, who were utterly exhausted during a mountain trip. On very rugged terrain, in Al Ghail area of Wadi Qada, near Wadi Al Baih, the family was spotted by the rescue team who provided them with the necessary aid on the spot.

The team transferred them by helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment. The father, who reportedly sustained minor injuries, was treated at the hospital.

The Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed that the rescue team set out on board a helicopter, upon receiving the report from the operation room, to where the Emirati family was located. The rescuers arrived at the site, provided assistance to the family, and transported them to hospital.

Colonel Pilot Saeed Al Yamahi, Head of the Air Wing Department, said, “The competence of the search and rescue team of Ras Al Khaimah Police was sufficient for the success of the rescuing mission of the family, despite the rugged location.”
