Asian arrested with 1.079kg of heroin at Dubai Airport

The Dubai Public Prosecution referred a 24- year-old Asian visitor to criminal court for attempting to smuggle 1.079kg of heroin into Dubai Airport.
Official records indicate that the defendant was suspected by one of the customs officers when entering the airport.

He was asked by the customs officers to undergo a police search.
During the search it was found that the defendant had 72 capsules of heroin, weighing 1.079kg.
Police immediately arrested the defendant, who now faces drug smuggling charges.
