Dubai celebrated Diwali in its own style with stunning light shows synchronized with the world’s fountain and fireworks.
The Pointe invited everyone to witness the festival of lights in its biggest celebrations.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai sent out a celebratory greeting to the world on the occasion of Diwali (the festival of light).

The Ruler of Dubai took to his Twitter account and said, “On behalf of the people of the UAE, I wish everyone celebrating around the world a happy Diwali. May the light of hope always unite us and lead us forward to a better tomorrow.”
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent greetings on Diwali.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said, “On the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights, we congratulate all those who celebrate around the world, and wish them continued prosperity and progress."
Diwali is a festival of light, wildly celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains worldwide.
Indians in Dubai and Northern Emirates are in for a great treat as a cultural extravaganza is being organised in Dubai to celebrate Diwali. Inspired by the unique heritage of India’s multi-ethnicity coupled with different linguistic and demographic identities, the central theme of Deepavali Utsav is to exemplify ‘unity in diversity’ of India by showcasing various folk dances encompassing majority of Indian states along with a display of traditional games and rangoli competitions.
India is a unique example of multitude of faiths co-existing harmoniously enlivening linguistics, cultural and demographic identities. Diversity will be brought to the fore through dances from various Indian states by teams who will showcase their talents on this glamorous occasion.
