Former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Asif Ali Zardari and slain prime minister Benazir Bhutto's daughter, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, will get engaged on Nov.27 in Karachi, local media has reported.
According to an invitation card sent out by Bilawal House Karachi spokesperson, Bakhtawar is set to be engaged to Mahmood Chaudhry, the son of US-based businessman Yonuas Chaudhry.
According to the sources, a ceremony to celebrate the engagement of Bakhtawar and Mahmood Choudhry, son of Younas Choudhary, will be held on Nov.27 at Bilawal House Karachi.
"President Asif Ali Zardari is pleased to announce, with the grace of God, the engagement of his and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari with Mr Mahmood Chaudhry on Nov.27, 2020," a statement issued by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) media cell said.
The future husband of Bakhtawar, 30, is the son of businessman Younas Chaudhry. The family is based in the United States and reportedly owns business in a Gulf country as well, according to sources in the PPP.
According to the sources, the engagement organisers have asked the guests to get tested for coronavirus and email the scanned copies of the results.
“All attendees are requested to please email a scanned copy of their negative COVID-19 PCR test result 24 hours prior to attendance. This is a mandatory requirement for security clearance,” read the announcement.
The guests are also barred from carrying mobile phones due to security purposes.
