Two’s company, three’s a crowd. So goes the saying. But if the matrimonial zest of a Pakistani national, who has three wives, is anything to go by, a fourth wife is on the cards. In other words, foursome can be awesome.
Twenty-two-year-old Adnan, who hails from Sialkot, has three wives. His first marriage took place at the age of 16, when he was a student; then he got married for the second time at 20, then last year he tied the knot again.
Adnan shares a light moment with his wives.
In an interview with the Daily Pakistan, he says all his wives have names that begin with the initial S. Nothing unusual about that, you might say. But here’s the interesting twist: all the three wives have joined the husband in looking for a fourth wife! And the husband says the fourth wife should have a name, which starts with the letter S too.
The wives are called Shumbal, Shubana and Shahida. Shumbal has three children, Shubana two from which one has been adopted by Shahida.
For many men, dealing with the whims and fancies of one wife can be a challenging task. But this does not happen with the ‘lucky’ Adnan.
At a time when fights between husband and wife are common, the only complaint the three wives have against him is this: each says he is not paying enough attention to the other!

Truly, it is the height of devotion. For Adnan, domestic chores are a breeze. The three spouses take turns to look after him. One cooks for him, the other washes his clothes, while the third polishes his shoes.
Adnan shares a wedding photo.
He says he loves all the three wives. The feeling is reciprocal. All the three women love him too.
Adnan first got married at the age of 16.
Adnan says the monthly expenses hover between a lakh to one and a half lakh Pakistani rupees.

But household expenses are no issue for Adnan, who said his fortunes took a turn for the better after his first marriage.
He lives in a house, which has 6 bedrooms, a drawing room and storeroom.
Truly, it is the stuff of fairy tales: the ending can be safely written as: “…And they lived happily ever after.”
