An 18-month-old toddler died after drowning in the bathtub of an apartment in the Al Majaz area of Sharjah.
The Nepalese boy was rushed to the Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah. He was pronounced dead on arrival.
The mother was giving the boy a bath. She left the boy in the tub for a while and went out of the restroom. Upon her return to the privy, she noticed the boy unconscious.

The parents took the boy to the Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, but it was too late. According to preliminary investigation, boy suffered brain damage.
Officers from Buhairah Police Station are investigating the tragic incident. A file has been moved to the competent authorities.
Parents have been urged not to leave the small children alone in precarious conditions.
