Camps of various kinds, including tents, caravans and others will be banned in all cities and regions in Fujairah during the next period, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, and head of the emirate's emergency crisis and disaster team, announced on Saturday.

As part of the precautionary and preventive measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 in light of the continuing pandemic, the Fujairah’s emergency team issued that decision to strengthen the efforts aimed at preserving the health and safety of community members, he added.

He also noted that the weather would be moderate in the coming period and that many people like to camp in such ambiences in various parts of the emirate, therefore the decision came to ban camping in order to preserve their safety.
The implementation of the decision will be followed-up by the Fujairah Police and the municipalities of Fujairah and Dibba Al Fujairah through intensive field campaigns aimed at verifying everyone’s commitment to it.
“Anyone, who fails to abide by the decision, will face a penalty,” Al Kaabi said.
He further affirmed that the concerned authorities would remove all the camps and caravans in the event that their owners fail to remove them. Moreover, the violators will be referred to the competent authorities, he added.
Al Kaabi called on all members of society to cooperate in implementing the decision in order to overcome the pandemic and return life to normalcy.
