The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced that all private establishments will have 3 days holidays to mark the UAE Commemoration Day and National Day.
The ministry tweeted, “The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announces a three-day paid holiday for all private sector establishments, institutions, and entities, from December 1 until December 3, on the occasions of UAE Commemoration Day and the 49th UAE National Day.”
Work will commence on Dec.6 as Dec.4 falls on Friday.
Federal entities and ministries’ holidays will take place from Tuesday, December 1st to December 3rd, a circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
According to the circular, work will resume on Sunday for federal entities.
The authorities have urged members of the society to have a safe holiday period.
Public have also been told to adhere to social distancing guidelines and precautionary measures.
The UAE Government said private parties and social gatherings would not be allowed in the country in the coming festive season due to the coronavirus.
Officials said, “With UAE National Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve celebrations approaching, we stress the importance of adhering to precautionary and preventive health and safety measures during all activities to tackle COVID-19.”
