In a suspected terror attack, a woman has been held for a knife attack in a supermarket in Zurich on Wednesday.
The woman was arrested after she was found to have stabbed a person and was trying to smother a woman with bare hands.
Authorities said that the victim suffered stab wounds in her neck.
The police said that authorities know the culprit from an incident related to 2017 extremism case.
The police said the woman was in a relationship with one of the extremist fighters in Syria.
She briefly left the country but was stopped at the Turkish border by authorities.
The woman was in custody for a short while, and then she was sent back to Switzerland.
After the 2017 incident, she was receiving medical care at a psychiatric clinic in the country.

Eyewitnesses said that the raging woman was pinned to the ground by customers until the police arrived.
The Swiss federal police said criminal proceedings were underway.
