PPP chief Bilawal tests positive for coronavirus, says will address Multan rally via video link

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced that he has self-isolated himself after he has been tested positive for COVID-19.
"I have tested positive for COVID-19 and am self isolating with mild symptoms," he said in a tweet.
The PPP chairman said that he will be working from home in isolation and that will also address the upcoming PPP foundation day gathering through a video link. "Wear a mask everyone, see you on the other side," he urged.
With preparations for Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari’s engagement slated for Friday in full swing, Bilawal is unlikely to attend the event. Bakhtawar is set to be engaged to marry the son of a US-based businessman on Friday.
Meanwhile, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan asked Bilawal to take care of himself as well as people.
In tweet, he prayed for the speedy recovery of Bilawal who tested positive for COVID-19.
Faisal said that "what a cruelty it is to videotape yourself while bringing people to the streets and endangering their lives.” He asked him to be conscientious as there was no use of these meetings instead they were harmful for masses.
The other day, the PPP chairman went into self-isolation after his political secretary Jameel Soomro tested positive for coronavirus.
The entire staff of Bilawal House in Karachi has also been directed to undergo COVID-19 tests on the directives issued by former president Asif Ali Zardari.
The staff, including security personnel, will not be allowed inside without a PCR test report.
The PPP boss was planning to host the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) gathering at Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh Stadium in Multan on Nov.30. The gathering will also mark the party's 53rd foundation day.
The government and opposition have locked horns over public gatherings as a second wave of coronavirus infections spikes across the country. The federal government has banned large public gatherings of more than 300 people among other COVID-19 restrictions.
