Light rain fell over different parts of the country on Sunday. The rain started falling at 3pm, due to the effect of the extension of a weak western surface air depression with the extension of another weak western air depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere, resulting in a state of weather instability, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The NCM indicated that the rain started falling on Al Sila in Al Dhafra area, on Dalma Island in Abu Dhabi, and on the Al Ghuwaifat Al Sila road.
The lowest temperature, 7.7 °C, was recorded on Sunday morning at 7:30 on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, the Centre pointed out.
The National Centre of Meteorology expected the weather on Monday to be partly cloudy in general, and sometimes cloudy in some coastal and western areas with a possibility of light rain.
According to the NCM, the weather will be wet on Monday night and Tuesday morning, with light fog likely in some western areas.
The Centre also expects winds to turn from south-easterly to north-easterly to northwest at noon. The speed is said to be light to moderate but sometimes active, within the range 15-25 km/h, amounting to 35km/h.
The NCM expects the sea to be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
For Tuesday’s weather, the centre expects it to be clear to partly cloudy in general, and sometimes cloudy over the sea, islands and some western coastal areas marked by some rain.
The weather will be wet on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, with light fog likely in some inland areas.
Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, brisk at times.
