European couple suffered bruises and exhaustion, which led to the fainting while climbing a mountain in Al Khamd area in Ras Al Khaimah.
Colonel Pilot Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, Head of the Air Wing Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police, explained that as soon as a report was received by the operations room of Ras Al Khaimah Police, the ambulance and rescue teams at the Traffic and Patrols Department, along with the helicopter of the Air Wing were rushed to the family’s location.
They were provided with the first aid and transported to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment, Al Yamahi added.

Colonel Al Yamahi called on those who go to and climb mountains to be careful and vigilant while practising the hobby of hiking.
They are also advised to adhere to all personal health and safety requirements to be able to withstand long hours without losing consciousness in case of exhaustion or severe sunstroke.
He further warned against climbing mountains during daytime when the temperatures are slightly high.
