One person was killed on Monday in a collision that occurred between two jet-skis near Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, while another sustained injuries, a police official announced.
Colonel Saeed Al Madhani, Director of the Ports Police Station in Dubai, said that the collision occurred as a result of negligence and lack of attention while riding the jet ski, which resulted in a death of a person and injury of another.

He called on jet-ski riders to adhere to marine safety instructions and to abide by safe speed limit while maintaining a sufficient distance between them and other marine means of transport. He also noted that anyone who causes injury or death of a person or damage to the property of others, the police would take legal action.

Al Madhani also affirmed the high readiness of the Ports Police Station to deal with emergency maritime accidents and respond to them in the shortest possible time 24/7.
The station deploys its various patrols in all marine places to ensure safety of the sea goers.
