Maid jailed for stealing employer's SIM card, making calls worth Dhs1,300 in Dubai

An Asian maid was convicted of robbery and sentenced to 3 months imprisonment for stealing her employer’s SIM card and making calls worth Dhs1,300.
The incident dates back to last July, when an Arab businessman filed a police report against the maid, claiming she had stolen his SIM card before running away from his house.
The employer complained about the high phone bill of Dhs1,300, which he had received after the maid fled with his SIM card.
Apparently, the defendant had used the SIM card for her advantage, then gave it to her friend who also used it to make local and international calls.
The defendant was apprehended and charged with robbery.
