A 28 years-old Asian visitor was arrested and referred to criminal court for smuggling 568g of Methamphetamine pills into the country.
A customs officers testified that the defendant seemed nervous when passing through airport's checking counter, and accordingly he was requested to undergo a body scanner device.
The scanner revealed the presence of unknown objects inside the defendant’s stomach.
When asked about it, the defendant confessed to carrying 86 capsules of drugs inside and that he needed to go the washroom to take them out.
The defendant confessed to smuggle the drugs in order to sell them to an unknown individual for $1000.
Police arrested the defendant, who was later prosecuted and charged with drug trafficking.
