The Dubai Public Prosecution referred a European salesman, aged 38, to criminal court for possessing and facilitating crystal meth drugs in Dubai.
The incident took place during last September, when anti-narcotics teams received a tip-off that the defendant is a drug user and possess a quantity of crystal meth.
Police ambushed the defendant and placed him under arrest. He confessed to using crystal meth but denied having any “drugs.”

The defendant’s girlfriend was also at the apartment at the time of his arrest, and had also confessed to using drugs with the defendant.
Police found a bag of crystal meth, and traces of the drug on the defendant’s smoking kit.

Both the defendant and his girlfriend were arrested and referred to criminal court on drug charges.
In July, a 33-year-old waiter from Portugal was arrested and referred to criminal court for possessing and facilitating crystal meth drug to another individual.
The investigation officer testified that the Anti-Narcotics Department have received a tip from a reliable source reporting an Arab man who possesses and uses drugs.
Investigations revealed the whereabouts of the suspect, and accordingly, police teams headed to the location to arrest him.
After arresting and searching the suspect, no drugs were found, but his drug test results were positive.
Upon questioning the suspect, he revealed that the Portuguese waiter gave the drugs to him.
The defendant was ambushed and arrested. He was handed over to the authorities for further investigations and was charged with drug possession.
