The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced an Asian to 3 years in jail to be followed by deportation after being convicted of forging his identity papers to marry a girl, have a child with her and separate from her.
The wife discovered that his name was different from that stated in his identity papers after he used to procrastinate over taking out identification papers for their nine-year-old son.
According to her testimony, the victim met the convict 13 years ago, specifically in 2007, when he proposed to her in front of her family.
After agreeing on marriage, they hand their marriage contract concluded in Dubai Courts where the convict presented a health card, which was later found to be fake, the victim added.

The victim said that they had a child and that her marital life continued until a dispute erupted between both of them in 2018.
The disputes snowballed and had to be referred to the family court.
When the victim left home, the victim asked him to have a passport and ID card taken out for their son.
The convict, however, used to procrastinate until he confessed to the victim that he had married her with forged identity papers and that his real name was different from that shown in the marriage deed.
Accordingly, the victim visited the authorities concerned and applied for divorce. During the public prosecution’s interrogations, the convict confessed that he had used a forged health card to marry and divorce the victim.
