Sharjah Police launch ‘Our Goal is Your Safety’

The Sharjah Police’s Traffic and Patrols Department has launched its electronic campaign under the title ‘Our Goal is Your Safety’, aimed at enhancing the traffic safety measures among motorists.

The campaign is set to last until the end of January, 2021, and pours focus on reminding drivers to adhere to traffic rules and follow all safety measures in order to minimise the occurring of traffic accidents.

Police officials stated that the campaign was launched in conjunction with the beginning of schools’ second term and the return of students to schools.

It was also revealed that Sharjah Police would launch 12 different traffic campaigns during the beginning of 2021, aimed at achieving maximum traffic safety through raising awareness of motorists and pedestrians.

The campaign is launched in three different languages (Arabic, English and Urdu) in order to reach all members of the community and to achieve its purpose.

Moreover, police urged motorists to stay alert while driving and adhere to wearing seat belts, and drive according to the streets’ speed limit in order to avoid traffic accidents.

Recently, the Strategy and Performance Development Department of the Sharjah Police organised the Innovation Lab event at the Officers Club headquarters.

This came in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation Department, along with strategic partners from Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey, Sharjah Economic Development Department, Sharjah Municipality, Emirates Auction Company, and Al Arabia Company.

The event witnessed the presence of Colonel Tariq Al Midfa, Director of Strategy and Performance Development, Colonel Faisal Bin Nassar, Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, and a number of specialised officers in Sharjah Police, along with the attendance of representatives of the participating parties.

During the event, a set of innovative ideas was discussed to develop the processes of security work at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah, with the aim of reaching the best practices applied globally in the field.

Colonel Al Midfa thanked the participants from the strategic partners for their role in supporting efforts aimed at achieving and strengthening community security, their support for Sharjah Police initiatives, and their active contribution to the previous achievements.
