The Dubai Criminal Court heard a case in which an Asian, 39, was charged with attempting to bribe a security supervisor to allow a farmer to enter an area under construction against Dhs100.
The case dates back to last October when a security supervisor filed a complaint in which he accused the defendant of attempting to bribe him in return for forging an entry permit for a farmer to enter a project under construction.
During the public prosecution’s interrogations, the security supervisor stated that the defendant, who worked as a marketing specialist in a real estate company engaged in the site in question, presented a folded entry permit for the farmer with Dhs100 inside.
The entry permit contained incorrect data.
The security officer added that he notified the police accordingly and the defendant was arrested.
On interrogation, the defendant stated that he gave the amount to the security officer in return for the latter to allow a farmer to enter a villa of the project, where his company was supervising the afforestation of a number of units there.
