VIDEO: Rain, fog bring winter chill with 4.1°C in UAE

Heavy rain lashed several areas of the country on Thursday. The rain began at 9:30am due to an extension of a shallow air depression to the east of the country, with a weak air depression in the upper layers, which resulted in instability of weather conditions.
Light rain fell on Mirfa-Ruwais road on Baynunah and Thumairiyah in Al Dhafra area and moderate rain fell on Sheikh Khalifa International Road – Baynunah.
Fog also formed over Madinat Zayed at 7am, and Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature on Thursday morning, reaching 4.1°C at 6am.
The NCM expects the winds will be northeasterly, active, with speeds of up to 40 km / hour, indicating that the waves' height in the Sea of Oman reached 4 - 6 feet.
The centre advised people to stay away from the places where water accumulates and the flow of valleys.
Friday weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy, with a slight decrease in temperature. It will be moderate during the day and cold at night, especially in the interior and mountain areas, according to the NCM.
Winds, according to the centre will be easterly to northeast, moderate in speed, and activate at times on the sea in the north, at a speed ranging between 20 to 30km/hr, and up to 40 km/hr.
The NCM expected that the sea will be generally moderate, but turbulent sometimes in the morning in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
Saturday's weather, according to the centre, will be clear to partly cloudy in general, and cold at night, especially in the interior and mountain areas. Saturday’s winds will be northeasterly to eastern, light to moderate, activating at times, at speeds ranging from 15 to 25 up to 35 km/h.
The sea on Saturday is expected to be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
