His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces urged members of the public to take the vaccine shots for a healthy society.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid said on Twitter, “The UAE has made great strides in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, we are ranked the second globally in the vaccine administration rates. Taking the vaccine is every individual's responsibility to protect their health, families and wider society.”
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed also took to Twitter and said, “Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our frontline heroes, 1,275,000 vaccinations have already been provided to UAE citizens and residents. We hope that with vaccinations picking up pace we will reach the point of full recovery in the shortest possible time.”
The UAE authorities have given 108,401 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in the last 24 hours. The total number of vaccinated people reached 1,275,652 with a rate of 12.9 doses per 100 people as vaccine distribution.
The ministry of health conducted 151,480 tests in the last 24 hours and revealed 3,243 new cases of the coronavirus, 2,195 recoveries and 6 deaths due to complications.
