A man in his fifties was rescued by Ras Al Khaimah Police’s Air wing, after he fell from high cliff near Jebel Al Mebrah in RAK.
Colonel Pilot Saeed Al Yamahi, Head of the Air Wing Division, revealed that operations had received a call about a senior citizen who slipped and fell from a high altitude.
After receiving the information rescue teams rushed to save the injured man.
Fortunately, the citizen sustained minor injuries and some bruises, and he was provided medical help from the Air Wing rescue teams until he was transported to Saqr Hospital.
Colonel Pilot Al Yamahi urged the public and especially mountaineering enthusiasts to take all necessary precautions when climbing high lands, as well as avoid stepping near the edges in order to maintain balance and prevent the feeling of altitude sickness.
