Umm Al Quwain Police have arrested several people for driving recklessly and without licence plates on Emirates Road.
The stunts posed a danger to the lives of road users.
The police have arrested the person who videoed the incident and posted it on social networking sites.
The authorities have seized all the vehicles involved in the incident.
The police have handed over the group of young men to the judicial authorities to take legal action and mete out stringent punishment.
The ministry stressed that the police monitor these irresponsible acts, and will not be lenient with applying the law to anyone who violates it and endangers the lives of others.
The ministry called on the public not to publish such recordings at all, but rather help the police by promoting social responsibility for a safe and stable society.
The authorities said such recordings should be reported to the police immediately.
Major General Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Commander-in-Chief of Umm Al Quwain Police, confirmed that such irresponsible people will not escape the long arm of the law.
The police will use all their abilities to deter and stop such reckless acts for the safety of the residents.
They urged all sectors of society, especially families, to educate young people about the dangers of these practices.
