The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) revealed the implementation of five new projects in 2021.
This includes a project to build 144 houses in the fourth Al Warqa area and a project to construct a residential building consisting of a ground floor plus 4 floors in the third area of Oud Al Muteena.
The third project includes construction of 667 dwellings in the Al Khawaneej second area, and the fourth project includes building 379 houses in the Al Khawaneej second area.
The fifth project includes building 1,046 dwellings in Al Khawaneej. The projects were revealed by Sami Gargash, CEO of MBHRE.
Gargash affirmed that 480 people benefited from the exemptions initiative in 2020, with a value of more than Dhs53 million, in addition to 25 people benefiting from the early payment initiative, at a value of about Dhs6.9 million. Gargash also explained that the Mathkhor initiative was suspended, and the amounts were returned to the applicants, so five citizens benefited from the compensation initiative with more than Dhs1 million, after they financed their homes without disbursing construction loan payments from the Establishment. According to Gargash, the establishment was currently working on completing a project to construct and maintain a residential complex consisting of 20 buildings in the Muhaisnah fourth, besides a project to construct and maintain 26 houses in the Hatta area, and a project to construct and maintain a commercial centre.
The official noted that the two projects were expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2021, pointing out that new housing units would be added in the last quarter of 2021.
Recently, MBRHE, chaired by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, reviewed requests submitted by 47 UAE citizens to waive their remaining mortgage instalments, worth Dhs17.721 million.
Gargash said that the establishment was working on reviewing requests expeditiously, in accordance with the criteria outlined by the Board of Directors.
