A 29-year-old Asian man was arrested and referred to criminal court for forging and selling an employment visa to earn Dhs6,500 in Dubai.
The incident dates back to December 2020, when an African security guard, the victim, filed a report against the defendant after he fell for the victim's fraud plan.
The victim revealed that he was looking for a job opportunity for his brother, and had ran into the defendant at a company. The man offered to help the guard in his job hunt for his brother.

The defendant tricked the victim and claimed he was able to issue an employment visa for the victim’s brother for an amount of Dhs6,500.
Without hesitation, the victim agreed and arranged to pay the amount in return for his brother’s visa.
The victim received the visa that included his brother’s information, but once he proceeded with his job hunt plan, he found out that the visa was a fake one.
The police report lead to the defendant’s arrest by the authorities, and he was charged with forgery of official documents and will receive a severe punishment for the crime.
