The Dubai Public Prosecution referred three Asian men to criminal court for forging official documents and illegally stealing and exporting a vehicle in Dubai.
The incident dates back to January 2020, when an Arab salesman, the victim, who works in a car showroom, filed a police report against one of the defendants accusing him of stealing of the vehicles in the showroom.
The victim testified that the defendant was a regular customer of the showroom, and that during his last visit, the defendant asked for the keys of one of the vehicles and showing intention of buying it.
The defendant took the vehicle for a trial run and disappeared.
For hours the victim kept on to trying reach out to the defendant on his phone, but got no reply on the whereabouts of the defendant.
After the police report was filed, investigations revealed that defendant had exported the vehicle to another country with the help of the other accomplices.
Forged documents were used for the purpose.
Police apprehended the three fraudsters on forgery and robbery charges.
