The National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) announced the third edition of the National Standard for Business Continuity Management System on Tuesday.
Dr Saif Al Dhaheri, Official speaker at NCEMA said, “The launch of the 3rd edition of the National Standard for Business Continuity Management System, in coordination with partners, with the aim of strengthening the capacity of business community to respond emergencies was announced.”
The National Campaign for COVID-19 vaccination #TogetherWeRecover is one of the most important initiatives that UAE has achieved record leaps in doses administered after going through various stages till the approved vaccines were registered in health sector.
Dr Al Dhaheri said, “The UAE ranked first worldwide in terms of daily doses over the past seven days at a rate of 1.16 doses per 100 people, and fifth in terms of the availability of COVID-19 vaccines."
“We call on all members of the community to take the vaccine at the nearest health center providing this service in order to reach our targets as soon as possible... The best way for us to recover is to get vaccinated.”
He also said, “We call on all public and private organizations to adopt this approach and build the capacity of organisations in emergency, crisis, and disaster situations.
The updated national standard was prepared by more than 20 government and private entities and more than 30 experts.
It explains the innovative methods gleaned from the experience of responding to the COVID-19 crisis and lessons learned in the midst of the pandemic.
