The UAE Cabinet approves the establishment of the UAE embassy in Tel Aviv in the State of Israel.
The statement was made during the cabinet meeting on Sunday, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The Council also approved the budget of the General Pensions and Social Security Authority and the Federal Tax Authority for the fiscal year 2021.
In September, the UAE and Bahrain signed agreements for normalising relations with Israel.
The-then US President Donald Trump hosted the ceremony at the lawns of the White House.
In front of a crowd of several hundred people on the White House lawn, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed accords with Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani.
The deals make them the third and fourth Arab states to take such steps to normalise ties since Israel signed peace treaties with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
