A specialised team from the Air Wing Department and the Ambulance and Rescue Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police rescued an Asian in his thirties, who was injured during a mountain trip in the valley of Dhayah in Ras Al Khaimah.
According to Colonel Pilot Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, Head of Air Wing Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, a report was received by the Ras Al Khaimah Police’s operations room that an Asian was injured during an exploratory trip in Dhayah valley.
A specialised team combining ambulance and rescue personnel and air wing men was formed immediately and sent via a Ras Al Khaimah Police helicopter to the place mentioned in the report to provide the necessary support and assistance. A survey of the Dhayah valley led the location of the injured Asian to be identified.
The injured trekker is being escorted to the chopper.
The injured Asian received on-site first aid before he was transferred to Saqr Hospital for further medical treatment.
Praising the co-operation of the inhabitants of Dhayah valley with the specialized team for rescuing the injured Asian, Al Yamahi valued their awareness and sense of social responsibility towards all individuals, irrespective of their ethnic backgrounds and cultures.
He also valued their keenness and willingness to provide support and humanitarian aid to all people without discrimination, calling on visitors and tourists to exercise extreme caution when going to mountains and valleys, take security and safety precautions, follow the instructions issued by the concerned authorities and notify the police of their trips.
