The 5-year-old boy whose video of driving a 4-wheeler on a busy road in Pakistan’s city of Multan went viral on social media has been identified as Fahad Khan.
Fahad told local media that he took the keys to the SUV when his father was sleeping.
“I wanted to eat ice-cream. As my father was sleeping, so I took the keys and drove away myself.
Fahad’s father submitted an undertaking to police, saying that such reckless acts would not be repeated.
He also urged other parents to keep an eye on their children to avoid such incidents.
The video now being widely shared on Twitter and Facebook showed Fahad confidently driving a Land Cruiser SUV in Multan city.
Earlier a police officer told local media that he assigned two teams to find parents of the child to know how a 5-year-old was allowed to drive a vehicle on a busy road.
The police officer said that irresponsibility and carelessness of the parents could endanger the lives of others and a strict action will be taken against them.
A Twitter user Rehan Sajid said, “The video of a five-year-old boy in Multan driving a full size SUV on the city’s busiest highway has gone viral. The child was driving a Land Cruiser on Bosan Road, Multan’s busiest road.”
In this 27-second video, no footage of the accident has been revealed, but people are worried that if someone comes in front of the Toyota Land cruiser SUV, then their life is in danger.
Many social media users have called it a staged video but some people are demanding strict action against the parents for giving the car to the child.
There has been a stir since the video surfaced on the Internet.
