Arab, 2 Africans booked for forging 17 labour contracts to embezzle Dhs750,000 in Dubai

An Arab and two Africans were prosecuted and referred to criminal court in Dubai, after they had forged 17 labour contracts in order to embezzle Dhs750,000.

The incident was discovered by a company for specializes in cleaning services. One of the defendants had used his authority in the company to embezzle money and forge labour contracts by copying the company’s partner signature.

A female victim working at the company testified that she had found out about the forged 17 contracts, and discovered that the defendant had raised his own salary from Dhs4,000 to Dhs20,000 using the second defendant’s aid.

The defendant had also established a company and lured customers from the victim company by forging documents and forcing customers to finish their business through this company.

The defendant and his accomplices managed to embezzle Dhs750,000 and stole laptops and phones from the victim company.

The first and second defendant were apprehended and prosecuted, while the third is still at large.

They were all charged with embezzlement and forgery, and a long period of jail-term is expected for them.
