Abu Dhabi Police referred 1,688 gathering violations to the Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Prosecution and urged all community members to adhere to precautionary measures.
This includes not organising or attending gatherings, especially in the desert and on private farms, or celebrations in public areas. Abu Dhabi Police emphasised that monitoring campaigns are being intensified.
Police also raided 11 violating weddings ceremonies and referred them to the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Prosecution, in implementation of the decision to prevent or restrict gatherings or meetings, hold public or private celebrations, or gather in public places or private farms in Abu Dhabi as part of precautionary measures to limit the spread of coronavirus.
Abu Dhabi Police called on the public to adhere to the preventive instructions and adhere to the precautionary measures issued by the competent authorities to limit the spread of Covid-19.
The police said that a fine of Dhs10,000 for the organiser of the gathering and each guest will be fined Dhs5,000.
The Abu Dhabi Police affirmed the importance of all community members coming together to support and the efforts of the authorities to combat the spread of infection, calling on the public to report any gatherings or violations.
