The competent authority at the workplace may take all or any of the measures into account mentioned in the circular according to the nature of the work.
Accordingly, the competent authority at the workplace will decide upon the percentage of employees so that there is no disruption of work.
The authorities said that exception would be made for employees whose tasks require their presence at their workplace provided the employer provides the utmost security and safety.
It should be kept in mind that employees are not crowded into one place, and that the distance between each employee is not less than two metres.
The authorities also drew attention to the need to distribute work among employees who will not be subject to remote work — if possible — so that they can rotate among them on a weekly basis in attending the workplace, provided the attendance rate for employees is not less than 50% to ensure the continuity of work.
The circular stressed that employees should be alerted to the necessity to adhere to security and safety measures and take the necessary precautions to preserve their safety and the safety of their colleagues at the workplace.
Dr Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Chairman of the of Human Resources, called for the importance of commitment by all parties, both "employers and employees," to strictly apply all precautionary measures.
