Iraqi boy dies after getting stuck in Sharjah villa gate

An Iraqi child, 5, was killed after his body was stuck in the main gate of his family's house in Wasit district in Sharjah on Tuesday evening.
The boy was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital but died before he arrived in the emergency ward of the hospital.
The parents said that while their son was playing in the outside yard of the house, he was stuck between the gate and the wall of the house, adding that because he was small and weak, he was unable to extricate himself or seek help from his family members.
The child died in place because he could not get enough oxygen, the parents said, noting that when they discovered he was missing, they started to look for him, only to find him dead.
The child’s uncle rushed to inform the national ambulance, which came immediately and took the child to Al Qasimi Hospital where he failed to respond to the emergency teams’ attempts to rescue him.
The file of the incident was handed over to the concerned police station to investigate into the incident and complete the rest of procedures for handing over the body to his family after being examined by the forensic lab.
