A teenager in Dubai, who went missing on Thursday morning, was found on the roof of her house by Dubai Police officers around 11.30pm.
Dubai Police located Harini Karani, 16, in the roof hiding from her parents.
Police said the girl took the step after her parents took away her cell phone from her as a punishment for scoring low grades in school. So she decided to hide on the roof of the house.
Dubai Police said, “The family was in a hurry to raise the incident on social media, before the police were given the opportunity to take the necessary measures.”
The family said, “Harini is in good health, and she is fine.”

Harini is home and safe and sound. Thank you all for keeping her in your prayers. We are overwhelmed by your love, support at prayers??.
It’s confirmed news.”
On Thursday morning, Harini left her house in Umm Suqeim 2.
The family said the GEMS Founders School student left home around 6am.
The parents reported the case to police when the teenager failed to return home around 9am.
A missing persons report was registered with the police.
A worried Bharat Karani, the missing teenager’s father, sought help from the media to locate her daughter.
The UAE community members have shared on their Facebook page about the incident of the missing girl.
One Facebook post read, “Harini Karani went for her early morning walk as usual this morning, between 6.30am - 7am and hasn't been seen since.
“Her family is appealing to anyone in the area between Al Manara Street and Al Thanya Street, between Al Wasl Road and Beach Road who was up and about this morning.
“Harini is 5ft 5, long dark hair, wears glasses. Would have been wearing Black T-shirt, Black leggings and Birkenstock’s (which meant she had only planned to go out for a short walk).
“She was without her phone.”
