UAE stands with Saudi Arabia in rejecting US report on Jamal Khashoggi assassination

The UAE has supported the statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its confidence and support for the provisions of the Saudi judiciary, which affirm the Kingdom's commitment to implementing the law in a transparent and impartial manner, and holding all those involved in this case accountable.

The Ministry affirmed that the United Arab Emirates fully stands with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in its efforts aimed at the stability and security of the region, and its main role in the axis of Arab moderation and regional security, stressing the rejection of any attempts to exploit this issue or interfere in the Kingdom's internal affairs.

The Saudi Ministry rejected the US report and said, “The Ministry notes that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia completely rejects the negative, false and unacceptable assessment in the report pertaining to the Kingdom’s leadership, and notes that the report contained inaccurate information and conclusions.”
