The first local train driver of Saudi Arabia has passed away, according to local media.
Abdulaziz Bin Ibrahim Al-Dariwish was 96.
He was the first Saudi driver to take over the operations of the Dammam - Al Hofuf - Riyadh route, which opened in 1951.
At that time, the task was only limited to Americans.
Prayers were performed for the deceased in the Al-Aziziyah cemetery in Zulfi. He was later laid to rest.
Saudis offered their deepest condolences to the sons and daughters of the deceased and his wife, and to the entire Dariwish family.
