A video of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah dancing to the famous Bollywood number “Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyaar Ke Charche” at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's granddaughter wedding has gone viral.
The 83-year-old veteran politician was seen shaking a leg to from the song the 1968 Bollywood film “Brahmachari.”
The video showed Farooq Abdullah in full mood lip-synching and grooving with the popular Shammi Kapoor song. He then jovially ropes in Captain Amarinder to dance with him.
Both the leaders could be seen gyrating to the music.
It was learned that Punjab CM Amarinder Singh's son Raninder Singh’s daughter Seherinder Kaur married a Delhi-based businessman, Aaditya Narang, at the politician’s Siswan estate in Chandigarh.
The video was shared by Nasir Khuehami, a
humanitarian and an activist.

On the other hand, in some relief for the leader, the Indian Supreme Court on Wednesday said the expression of views which are different from the opinion of the government cannot be termed seditious, as it dismissed a PIL against Farooq Abdullah for making statements against the scrapping of Article 370.
A bench comprising Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Hemant Gupta said dissent cannot be termed seditious.
The top court’s observation came on a plea filed by Rajat Sharma and others through advocate Shiv Sagar Tiwari. The top court also imposed a fine of Rs50,000 on the petitioners for filing the plea against Abdullah.
The plea cited alleged remarks made by Abdullah that he sought help of China and Pakistan against India on Article 370.
