Abu Dhabi has issued fresh guidelines for attending events in the emirate.
Any visitors attending any event in Abu Dhabi will have to present a negative COVID-19 test certificate, whereas organisers have to go through PCR tests weekly.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) said it has also updated the green list countries.
The department said, “Any visitors travelling from countries, regions and territories on the 'green' list will be exempt from quarantine requirements and can enter the destination by following a series of procedures that include COVID-19 tests.
Upon entering the emirate, travellers will be given a PCR test at the airport and must wait for the negative result to be received.
International travellers from countries, regions and territories on the ‘green’ list, will no longer be required to self-isolate upon receiving a negative result. Travellers from other countries will be required to self-isolate for 10 days only.
All travellers will need to take a PCR test on day six for those staying for six days or more, and on day 12 for those staying for 12 days or more.
Countries, regions, and territories included within the ‘Green List’ will be regularly updated based on international development.
Inclusion in the list is subject to strict criteria of health and safety to ensure the wellbeing of the UAE community.
The list also only applies to countries passengers are arriving from rather than citizenship.
The updated Green List:
• Australia
• Bhutan
• Brunei
• China
• Greenland
• Hong Kong (SAR)
• Iceland
• Kazakhstan
• Mauritius
• Morocco
• New Zealand
• Saudi Arabia
• Singapore
DCT Abu Dhabi will also continue to issue updates on the list and overall travel status in the coming months.
