Asian drug trafficker in Dubai jailed for 5 years and fined Dhs20,000

An Asian drug-trafficker was prosecuted and sentenced to 5 years in jail and fined Dhs20,000 for promoting hashish.
The defendant was prosecuted with another runaway accomplice who was also fined Dhs10,000.
The case dates back to June 2020, when the second defendant was arrested in possession of 3 plastic rolls of hashish, weighing 82g each.
During investigations, the defendant confessed to using drugs and promoting it. The first defendant was the one who supplied the hashish to the second defendant.
All drug users who bought drugs from the defendant have also been arrested and prosecuted on drug-trafficking charges.
