Asian jailed for forging documents to get Dhs56,000 bank loan

An Asian worker was sentenced to 6 months in jail and was fined Dhs56,000 fine after being prosecuted on forgery charges in Dubai.
He will be deported after serving his jail term.
Official records point out that the defendant had forged a salary certificate to get a bank loan.
An employee of the auditing department noticed the forged document after the defendant was issued a Dhs56,000 credit card.
The bank contacted the company mentioned in the forged salary certificate and found out that the defendant was not even an employee of the company.
The incident was reported to police and the defendant was arrested and prosecuted for his crime.
