In Indian state of Bihar, a man set his wife and two kids on fire after he had a heated argument with his wife.
Mohamad Tahir, resident of Labha village in Bihar's Katihar district, poured kerosene oil on his wife and children and set them ablaze.
The neighbours, after hearing their screams, rushed to rescue them but all three were charred to death.
The incident occurred around 11:00 am on Thursday after his verbal altercation with his wife turned violent.
"The victims charred to death on the spot," said investigating officer of Pranpur police station.
"We have arrested the accused on the charge of murder. Further investigation is on," officer said.
After committing the crime Tahir tried to flee but was nabbed by the villagers.
They handed him over to the police after thrashing him black and blue.
According to one the neighbours, Tahir was often seen involved in verbal spats with his wife.
"He has beaten up his wife on several occasions and would use abusive language agianst neighbours if they ever tried to intervene," says neighbour Mansoor Alam.
